Yes, I'm aware of the lack of watchers/pageviews, etc. But, this is a little heads up to anybody whom happens to stumble upon this. I'm announcing the beginning of a project, and I'm hoping that this journal will keep people nagging me about it.
In a short amount of time (two months or so), I'm going to be cranking out work at a pace that I'm not exactly used to. This is because in that time I will be turning in two AP assignments, AP Art and AP English.
For AP English we are supposed to write 12 literary compositions of any kind as part of our final exam.
For AP Art (as I'm sure some of you may be familiar with), I also have to submit 12 pieces revolving around a central theme.
I'm combining both of these into a single project called, you guessed it, "The Chronicles of Frank". A little backstory:
When I was fifteen, my father was taken from my by stomach cancer. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to go through, but it awakened me from my spoiled brat stage by thrusting me into an economical depression. I'm very thankful for that experience, but needless to say, it sucked ***.
Ever since then an old family friend joined our household. Frank, and by old family friend I mean OLD family friend. This man adopted me as his son when I was born until my own biological father acknowledged me as his son, he was a father for me when my real one wasn't. He wept with me when I embraced my father's corpose, he taught me to walk and talk, he contributed to the man I am today.
But now he's in a coma, and this is his last day alive before the plug is pulled.
The only comfort I have been able to obtain from this situation has been writing and painting, in the span of time that he has been in this vegetable like state I have cried more than I ever have in my whole life. I'm reliving the inferno I never wanted to visit again, but this time I am an artist.
Which is why I'm inviting all of you to follow this project. I will be releasing 24 pieces in total, 12 paintings and 12 compositions. Each individual painting will be linked to a writing piece. The pieces however will not be in chronological order, so I can't really assure a coherent story until the whole project is finished. I'm going to try to make a release as soon as I have a painting coupled with a composition, however.
In any event, thanks for dropping by, thanks for listening, and I hope to see all of you in the comment section soon
-Cheers
